Set in the foothills of the McCullough range outside Las Vegas, the Ascaya Residence exemplifies desert modern design with clean lines, expansive fenestration, and luxurious indoor/outdoor spaces. The L-shaped structure overlooks a spacious rear patio with a pool, sun deck, fire pit, and distant views of the Las Vegas strip. Expansive Nanawalls at the open living/dining room and master bedroom adjoin interior and exterior spaces, seamlessly connecting the patio and poolside areas with the home.
Structural systems include wood-framing, while structural steel is used extensively to meet the architectural demands of large, open spaces, long cantilevers, and thin floor and roof profiles. Strong horizontal lines define the massing, while rich, earthy finishes provide elegant textures with stone, tile, wood, and corten steel.
