Situated on a 96-acre parcel in Napa, Stanly Ranch is a new winery-themed resort that features 78 site-built cottage units, a luxury hotel, and a large pool area. The 60,000-square-foot hotel at the core of the property includes an event facility, an upscale restaurant with indoor and outdoor dining, and a nine-building spa complex. The three different cottage types are wood framed and supported on mat slab foundations, while the hotel is a combination of steel and wood framing supported on shallow foundations.
The event “barn” is a 14,000-square-foot, two-story structural steel and concrete structure on a sloped site with a daylighting basement. Large folding glass garage door openings tie the banquet space to the outside terrace. Across the courtyard, a meeting and bridal area includes a double, custom steel truss that supports the clerestory above.
Adjacent to the “barn” is the restaurant, constructed of wood and steel framing with 3D acute angle pyramid trusses. The nearby spa complex, with a reception space, locker rooms, treatment buildings, and a crescent-shaped fitness building, is conventional wood construction on shallow foundations.
A 40,000-square-foot winery and tap room are planned for a future phase.
